Course Details

Becoming an apprentice requires commitment to learning the craft and few are up to the challenge. We take you under our wing to teach you how to build software and the tools of the trade. Becoming an apprentcie is a 3 step process:

  1. Schedule Guild Apprentice Aptitude Session
  2. Complete our full-time training program over 4-6 months (Mon-Thur)
  3. Start a paid Apprenticeship at Programmers Guild

The Guild Apprentice Aptitude is a short training session to establish your current skill level. We use it to create a training agenda for each candidate and understand their needs. All training is skill-based, requiring the completion of a series of projects, each escalating in challenge and complexity. The ideal apprentice will complete their training in 18 weeks. However, training can range anywhere between 10-24 weeks based on your incoming skills.

On the Job Training (OJT)

Upon completion of Novice training program, you'll have earned an Apprenticeship, which marks the beginning if OJT. All training is project driven. Each module you'll build new software with your instructor, receiving mentoring and professional guidance every step of the way. Apprentices earn money while gaining valuable work experience. Our goal is to give your career a running start as a professional and guide you to successfully achieving your own career goals.

The Path to Skill Mastery

The future of software will rely on software engineers who can build safe, secure and reliable applications. Programming is the art problem-solving -- solutions that move at the speed of light! Coding is a fun, highly rewarding activity but believe us when we tell you it is the easy part. Creative, abstract thinking and your ability to deconstruct problems are some of the qualities that define a great programmer. Building software is challenging, but with great training, mentoring and a commitment to the craft, you can do it.

Programmers Guild is building a community that shares your passion for tech and fosters an environment where the next generation of software engineers can thrive.
